Statement of the museum:
"The new building Museum der Moderne Salzburg has primarily been conceived for the presentation of the museum's own collection. In this respect, the opening show in October 2004, "A Collection's Vision" demonstrates the present museum concept of collecting, yet also offers views into future perspectives. Based on a selection of art works of the museum's own collection, the exhibition develops a new concept which presents the characteristics of the collection, yet still broadens its intentions. The exhibition's focal thematic points will be represented in suggestively spatial museum units and may be experienced in an itinerary that recalls the idea of a "boulevard"."
In this first exhibition of the museum, Lois Renner will be represented as well.
