Contemporary art at the Hofburg
The historical Vienna Hofburg is housing the office of the Austrian FederalPresident. From now on it is presenting in some rooms works of contemporary art. The main staircase, the socalled "Adlerstiege" (eagle stairs), shows the picture "Maria Len" by Lois Renner. The curator for contemporary art of the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere, Thomas Trummer, is responsible for the choice, closely connected to the President. All art works are lent by the Österreichische Galerie. They are planed to stay at the Hofburg for about two years.
